Iran Warns of Retaliation Against Trump Pressure: ‘Fingers on the Trigger’

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, declared Wednesday that Iran’s military stands prepared to respond to any potential hostilities. “Our brave Armed Forces are prepared — with their fingers on the trigger — to immediately and powerfully respond to ANY aggression against our beloved land, air, and sea,” Araghchi stated in a post on social media platform X. President Trump, meanwhile, announced that a “massive Armada” led by the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln is heading toward Iranian waters. In a message posted on Truth Social, Trump emphasized the fleet’s capabilities, describing it as larger than forces recently deployed to Venezuela and ready to “fulfill its mission, with speed and violence, if necessary.”

“Hopefully, Iran will quickly ‘Come to the Table’ and negotiate a fair and equitable deal — NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS — one that is good for all parties,” Trump wrote, adding ominously, “Time is running out, it is truly of the essence!”

The president also referenced a previous military action against Iran, referred to as “Operation Midnight Hammer,” warning that “the next attack will be far worse” if Iran fails to reach a diplomatic solution.
