In a week filled with streaming highlights, viewers will have plenty of new entertainment options across platforms, from Oscar-winning directors’ latest works to beloved TV series finales and seasonal holiday specials.

Netflix will debut Taiwanese filmmaker Shih-Ching Tsou’s solo directorial debut “Left-Handed Girl” on November 28. The film, which follows a single mother and her daughters returning to Taipei to open a night market stand, received critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival and has been selected as Taiwan’s Oscar submission. Tsou is known for her collaborations with filmmaker Sean Baker on acclaimed projects like “Tangerine” and “The Florida Project.”

Meanwhile, Prime Video subscribers can stream Bong Joon Ho’s “Mickey 17” starting November 26. The dystopian film features Robert Pattinson in what critics have called an “extremely physical, committed, even exhausting performance” where he plays an expendable who is continually reprinted in new forms. AP critic Jocelyn Noveck praised Pattinson for making what “could have been an unwieldy mess” into something compelling.

For those looking for older but worthwhile fare, Hulu will stream Ridley Scott’s “The Last Duel” beginning November 30. The four-year-old medieval epic, written by Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Nicole Holofcener, presents its story from three distinct perspectives – a storytelling approach that film critic Jake Coyle described as deconstructing “mythologized nobility.”

Music enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as Disney+ releases “The Beatles Anthology” documentary series on Wednesday. The nine-episode series traces the legendary band’s journey, coming three years after Peter Jackson’s acclaimed six-hour “The Beatles: Get Back” documentary that offered unprecedented access to the “Let It Be” sessions.

Country music fans can look forward to Hallmark’s “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas,” streaming on Hallmark+ starting Sunday. The holiday film features an impressive lineup of musical guest stars including Brad Paisley, Megan Moroney, and Mickey Guyton, telling a story of musical heritage set in Nashville’s esteemed venue.

Television offerings include a 30th anniversary special for “Everybody Loves Raymond,” airing Monday on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. Hosted by star Ray Romano and creator Phil Rosenthal, the special reunites cast members including Patricia Heaton and Brad Garrett on a recreation of the Barone living room set, with tributes to deceased cast members Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts.

Netflix subscribers will witness the beginning of the end for one of the platform’s biggest hits as “Stranger Things” releases the first four episodes of its fifth and final season on Wednesday. The sci-fi phenomenon will conclude in three parts, with star Millie Bobby Brown promising fans will “lose their damn minds” with the ending.

Comedy fans can tune into Kevin Hart’s new Netflix special “Kevin Hart: Acting My Age” on Monday, which focuses on the comedian’s perspective on aging. For those enjoying parodies of holiday film tropes, Hulu offers “Disney’s Hulu’s Family Guy’s Hallmark Channel’s Lifetime’s Familiar Holiday Movie” on November 28, satirizing the familiar narrative of big-city characters finding love in small towns during Christmas.

Gaming enthusiasts can explore the darker side of artificial intelligence with Brazilian studio Pulsatrix’s new horror game “A.I.L.A.” The meta-narrative casts players as a game tester trying out an AI-created horror story, with potentially sinister implications about technology’s role in our lives. The game launches Tuesday on PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S and PC.

As the holiday season approaches, this diverse slate of entertainment options across streaming platforms ensures viewers will have plenty of content to enjoy, whether gathering with family or seeking solo viewing experiences during the festive period.
