Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” Tops Apple Music’s Global Charts in 2025
The inescapable collaboration between Rosé and Bruno Mars, “APT.,” has claimed the number one spot on Apple Music’s global song chart for 2025, solidifying its status as one of music’s most enduring hits. Released in 2024, the Grammy-nominated track never relinquished its grip on listeners, according to year-end data released by the streaming giant on Tuesday.
The achievement marks the first time either artist has topped Apple Music’s year-end global songs chart, highlighting the crossover appeal of this collaboration between the K-pop star and the American multi-genre performer.
Coming in second place is another powerful duet, with Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” continuing to resonate with global audiences. Mars makes a second appearance in the top three with his Lady Gaga collaboration “Die With a Smile” securing the third position.
Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” which dominated 2024’s chart, remains a formidable presence at number four, while Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” rounds out the top five.
The ongoing influence of Lamar’s “GNX” album is particularly evident in this year’s rankings, with five tracks from the project appearing in the global top 25. The rapper’s continued dominance reflects his cultural impact and artistic resonance with listeners worldwide.
Female representation remains strong on the charts, with 36 of the top 100 songs featuring women artists—slightly down from last year’s record of 39. However, women claimed or featured on seven of the top 10 songs, more than doubling their presence in the highest tier compared to 2024.
“APT.” didn’t just excel on the main chart—it achieved a rare sweep across multiple Apple Music rankings. The track topped the Shazam Global Radio Spins chart, the Top 100: Global Radio chart tracking worldwide radio play, and Apple’s most-read lyrics charts.
“The phenomenal global success of Rosé and Bruno Mars’ ‘APT.’ has been a powerful reminder that great songs will always transcend borders,” said Rachel Newman, Apple Music’s co-head, in a statement accompanying the year-end data release.
Tuesday also marked the rollout of Apple Music Replay, the platform’s competitor to Spotify’s popular Wrapped feature. Replay allows subscribers to explore their personal listening habits throughout the year with increased personalization and insights.
The enhanced Replay experience introduces several new features, including Discovery, which highlights new artists users explored in 2025, Loyalty, which identifies consistently favored artists, and Comebacks, showcasing artists who returned to users’ regular rotation. Subscribers can also access metrics such as total listening minutes, artist count, longest artist streaks, and preferred genres.
In a feature particularly valuable to the music industry, artists themselves can now access data about their listenership growth and year-over-year performance through the platform.
This announcement follows Apple Music’s recent naming of Tyler, the Creator as its artist of the year. The influential rapper and producer, who released his acclaimed “Chromakopia” album in 2024, accumulated an impressive 4.5 billion minutes of listening time between November 2024 and October 2025.
“Tyler continues to prove that anything is possible. His creativity has been incredible all year,” said Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s global creative director. “His creative risk-taking is only matched by the care he takes to present it, and he inspires his peers and fans now, just as he will continue to inspire generations to come.”
The year-end charts reflect both the consolidation of established stars and the continuing evolution of music consumption patterns across global markets, with collaborative tracks particularly resonating with streaming audiences in 2025.
