Clinton-Epstein Photo Confirmed Authentic, Shows Former President with Accuser
A photograph showing former President Bill Clinton receiving a shoulder massage from Jeffrey Epstein accuser Chauntae Davies in 2002 has been verified as authentic, amid renewed scrutiny of Clinton’s connections to the disgraced financier.
The image, which resurfaced recently on social media platforms including X, Reddit, and Threads, depicts a 22-year-old Davies kneeling behind Clinton and massaging his shoulders during a refueling stop in Portugal. The pair were en route to Africa as part of a humanitarian trip focused on raising AIDS awareness.
The photograph was first published by the British tabloid Daily Mail in August 2020, accompanied by a second, more closely cropped image of the same scene. Analysis through multiple AI-detection services indicates the image is highly unlikely to be artificially generated or digitally manipulated.
According to Davies, who later accused Epstein of repeatedly raping and sexually assaulting her over a four-year period until her escape in 2005, the massage occurred when “the ex-President was complaining of stiffness from falling asleep in his chair.” Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, suggested Davies provide the massage.
“Ghislaine chimed in to be funny and said that I could give him a massage,” Davies told the Daily Mail. “Everyone had a little chuckle but Ghislaine in her prim British accent insisted and said I was good. The President then asked me ‘would you mind giving it a crack.'”
Despite her traumatic experiences with Epstein, Davies described Clinton as “a perfect gentleman during the trip,” stating that she “saw absolutely no foul play involving him.” In the Netflix documentary “Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich,” released approximately three months before the photos were published, Davies recalled the Africa trip as “probably the single most amazing moment of my life.”
The context surrounding the image has gained renewed significance following a November 2025 announcement from the U.S. Justice Department that it would investigate potential ties between Clinton and Epstein at President Donald Trump’s request. The investigation comes after the House Oversight Committee released a collection of Epstein emails on November 12.
Clinton’s connections to Epstein have been the subject of ongoing controversy. Unverified flight logs reportedly filed with the FAA and cited by Fox News in 2016 suggest Clinton flew on Epstein’s private jet, nicknamed the “Lolita Express,” at least 26 times. However, in 2019, a Clinton spokesperson disputed this figure, claiming the former president took only four flights on Epstein’s aircraft.
Previous reporting has confirmed that both Epstein and Maxwell were guests at the White House multiple times during Clinton’s presidency. Following Epstein’s 2019 suicide while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, increased attention has focused on his high-profile associates.
A Clinton spokesperson responded to the recent release of Epstein emails by asserting they proved “Bill Clinton did nothing and knew nothing.” Requests for additional comment from both Clinton’s foundation and Davies regarding the massage photographs have not received responses.
The resurfacing of the image comes amid broader public interest in unsealed documents related to Epstein’s case and continued investigations into his network of associates and enablers. For many of Epstein’s victims, including Davies, who is now in her early 40s, the ongoing revelations represent part of a long journey toward justice and accountability.
