Just days earlier, on October 8, the same agency had debunked another fabricated story claiming Ukrainian soldiers near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region had been abandoned without provisions and were refusing to fight.

Military analysts suggest these intensified disinformation campaigns may indicate growing Russian concern about Ukraine’s mobilization effectiveness and continued international support.
