Trump hosts UFC fighters ahead of White House event in June

Flanked by UFC president Dana White and several mixed martial arts fighters, former President Donald Trump welcomed the combat sports delegation to his Mar-a-Lago residence on Tuesday for a private gathering ahead of a more formal White House event scheduled for next month.

The meeting comes amid White’s ongoing and vocal support for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, highlighting the increasingly visible relationship between the former president and the UFC leadership. “Had a great time hosting Dana White and some of the greatest UFC fighters at Mar-a-Lago,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, sharing photos from the event. Several well-known fighters were present, including Jon Jones, the current UFC heavyweight champion, and Sean Strickland, the former middleweight champion known for his controversial political statements.
