First Lady Melania Trump has unveiled plans for her upcoming biographical film “MELANIA,” offering Fox News an exclusive preview of the project set to debut in theaters worldwide on January 30, 2026.

The 104-minute film chronicles a pivotal 20-day period leading up to President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, providing what Mrs. Trump describes as “a private, unfiltered look” at her transition to becoming First Lady again. The film will be distributed globally, reaching audiences across North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and beyond.

“History is set in motion during the 20 days of my life prior to the U.S. Presidential Inauguration,” Mrs. Trump told Fox News. “For the first time, global audiences are invited into theaters to witness this pivotal chapter unfold—a private, unfiltered look as I navigate family, business, and philanthropy on my remarkable journey to becoming First Lady of the United States of America.”

The trailer, exclusively obtained by Fox News, opens with Mrs. Trump entering the U.S. Capitol rotunda ahead of the inauguration, wearing her signature outfit and announcing to the camera: “Here we go again.” It then offers glimpses of the First Lady at various locations, including Mar-a-Lago, Trump Tower in New York City, and behind-the-scenes moments in Washington D.C.

The preview reveals intimate moments, including a scene where Mrs. Trump suggests her husband add “unifier” to his speech when he rehearses the line “My proudest legacy will be that of peacemaker.” Another sequence shows her asking security personnel about safety concerns before a motorcade journey through city streets.

According to sources familiar with the production, Mrs. Trump has been deeply involved “in every aspect” of the film—from creative vision to post-production marketing. She conceptualized the project in November 2024 following President Trump’s election victory and sought to create something that would not resemble a typical documentary but rather an “elevated film” with high production values.

“She is giving the audience unprecedented access to her life—and to any first lady’s life—during this 20-day period,” a source told Fox News Digital.

The film represents a major financial investment in documentary filmmaking. Marc Beckman, Mrs. Trump’s agent and senior advisor, led negotiations with Amazon CEO Andy Jassy beginning on November 18, 2024. While Disney, Netflix, and Paramount also competed for the rights, Amazon MGM Studios secured the license with a reported $40 million bid—described as the largest documentary deal in history.

“I’m honored to be working with Amazon—they’ve been great partners from the minute we started to negotiate the deal, through production and now as we gear up for the film’s release,” Beckman said. He clarified that although there had been speculation about the bidding process, “Amazon had the highest bid, but they also bid on the most product—series and film.”

The film is executive produced by Mrs. Trump herself along with Fernando Sulichin of New Element Media, with Brett Ratner of RatPac Entertainment directing. In addition to the theatrical release, Amazon plans to launch a documentary series based on the material in the coming months.

This film follows the success of Mrs. Trump’s memoir “Melania,” which was released last year and has remained on the New York Times bestseller list since publication. The book offered personal stories and previously unpublished family photos, with Mrs. Trump describing the writing process as “an amazing journey filled with emotional highs and lows.”

The First Lady also released a collector’s edition of her memoir featuring photographs she personally selected, many taken by her during her travels around the world. Recently, she expanded her publishing ventures by releasing an AI-powered audiobook version of her memoir in Spanish.

As the January 2026 release date approaches, “MELANIA” represents an unprecedented look into the private life of a modern First Lady during a critical transition period in American political history.
