Trump Administration Accuses Biden’s DOJ of Targeting Pro-Life Christians

The Trump administration has released a detailed report accusing President Biden’s Justice Department of collaborating with abortion rights organizations to compile personal information on Christian pro-life advocates as part of a broader campaign to prosecute them under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.

The 200-plus page document, titled “The 2026 Report by the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias,” alleges that Biden’s Justice Department officials “zealously pursued” prosecutions against Christians who opposed abortion. The report was compiled based on an executive order signed by President Donald Trump.

“The Biden Administration’s policies regularly clashed with a Christian worldview and burdened traditional religious practices,” the report states. “These conflicts frequently arose over abortion, gender ideology, and sexual orientation. Ultimately, the Biden Administration penalized Christians who lived in accordance with their beliefs.”

According to the findings, former Attorney General Merrick Garland allegedly “weaponized” the FACE Act against pro-life protesters through his revival of the National Task Force on Violence Against Reproductive Health Care Providers. The FACE Act, established during the Clinton era, makes it illegal to obstruct entrances to reproductive health facilities, including both abortion clinics and pregnancy resource centers.

The report details how Justice Department officials reportedly worked closely with abortion advocacy groups to monitor and build cases against pro-life activists. In one particularly concerning allegation, the DOJ’s Task Force received “security reports” or “dossiers” from these groups containing extensive personal information on targeted activists, including home addresses, driver’s license numbers, and even photographs of their families and minor children.

In a startling example from 2021, a pro-choice organization allegedly sent the Task Force and FBI a 137-page memorandum detailing information about a pro-life conference, including schedules, lodging information, and detailed profiles on numerous “anti-choice individuals.” Many of those profiled were later prosecuted by the Justice Department.

The report also claims the FBI warned the DOJ that pro-choice groups were tracking pro-life activists engaged in “1st Amendment protected activity,” but the monitoring continued regardless.

Communications between abortion groups and government officials appear to have been extensive. The Task Force director reportedly exchanged text messages with the National Abortion Federation’s security team and maintained regular contact with Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Feminist Majority Foundation. According to the report, NAF’s security team was referred to as the “MVP” by the Task Force for its ability to flag protests “often in real-time,” which frequently resulted in investigations or prosecutions.

In January 2025, President Trump issued full and unconditional pardons to 23 pro-life activists who had been prosecuted under the FACE Act during the Biden administration.

This latest report follows another recent Justice Department publication revealing 700,000 internal records from the Biden administration that allegedly demonstrated how the SAVE Act was unfairly applied against conservative activists.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche made the administration’s position clear: “This Department will not tolerate a two-tiered system of justice. No Department should conduct selective prosecution based on beliefs. The weaponization that happened under the Biden Administration will not happen again, as we restore integrity to our prosecutorial system.”

The allegations raise significant questions about the intersection of religious liberty, free speech, and law enforcement under the previous administration. For their part, sources close to President Biden declined to comment on the report, and Fox News Digital’s outreach to the National Abortion Federation has not yet received a response.

As this story develops, it will likely fuel ongoing debates about the proper role of government in protecting both reproductive health access and religious freedom—a tension that continues to define much of America’s cultural and political landscape.

This is a concerning report if true. We need to ensure the government respects the right to religious freedom and freedom of speech, even on sensitive issues like abortion. Both sides should be able to voice their views peacefully without fear of prosecution.

    • I agree. Targeting people for their religious beliefs is a dangerous path that undermines core civil liberties. Hopefully this can be thoroughly investigated to get to the bottom of what happened.

  2. This is a complex and politically charged issue. While I’m troubled by allegations of the government misusing data to target citizens, I’d want to see a more balanced, fact-based investigation before drawing conclusions. We should be vigilant against government overreach but also avoid rushing to judgment.

That’s a fair perspective. These types of reports can be politically motivated, so it’s important to look at the evidence objectively. I hope a thorough, impartial inquiry can shed light on what actually occurred.

  3. Robert Brown on

This is a concerning allegation that, if true, would represent a serious overreach of government authority. Protecting the ability of citizens to freely exercise their religious beliefs is a fundamental right. I hope the facts can be thoroughly examined to determine what actually occurred.

If the report’s claims are accurate, that would be a troubling abuse of power and violation of civil liberties. The government should protect the rights of all citizens, regardless of their religious or political views. I hope this can be properly investigated to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

While I don’t have enough information to assess the validity of these claims, the idea of the government monitoring and prosecuting citizens for their religious views is deeply troubling. Our civil liberties must be jealously guarded, regardless of the political leanings involved. I hope this can be properly investigated.
