However, experts argue that sustained, long-term investment is necessary to develop the infrastructure needed to address misinformation at scale.
The emerging research consensus provides a hopeful counterpoint to fatalistic views about the “post-truth” era. It suggests that with the right combination of technological tools, educational approaches, and regulatory frameworks, societies can significantly reduce the harm caused by false information.
