Despite the significant coverage of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palaash Muchhal’s postponed wedding, choreographer Gulnaaz Khan has firmly denied her involvement in the unfolding situation that has captured public attention.

The wedding, originally set for November 23 in Sangli, was postponed following a series of medical emergencies affecting both families. The sequence of events began when Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, experienced symptoms resembling a heart attack and was rushed to Sarvhit Hospital. Medical professionals later confirmed his condition was stable, with angiography results showing no arterial blockages. He was subsequently discharged on November 24.

In a separate but related development, Palaash Muchhal also required hospitalization after experiencing chest pain, breathlessness, and general discomfort. Doctors later clarified that his condition stemmed primarily from emotional stress rather than a serious cardiac issue.

As speculation mounted on social media platforms, unfounded rumors began circulating regarding choreographers Gulnaaz Khan and Nandika Dwivedi’s potential involvement in the postponement. Khan addressed these claims directly through her Instagram Stories.

“I’ve been noticing a lot of speculation and false claims going around about Me & My Friend Nandika, so I want to clear this straight that we are not the people involved in this issue,” Khan wrote. “Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them doesn’t mean we are connected to their personal matters. Please let’s keep things respectful and not jump to conclusions.”

According to Amita Muchhal, Palaash’s mother, it was her son who insisted on postponing the wedding after learning of Shrinivas Mandhana’s health scare. Despite the haldi ceremony having already taken place, Palaash reportedly refused to proceed with further rituals out of respect for the situation. The emotional strain apparently affected him deeply, leading to his own hospitalization.

“Palaash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome,” Amita told Hindustan Times. She added that both Smriti and Palaash are currently experiencing emotional difficulty but reassured the public that “Everything will be fine, shaadi bahut jaldi hogi [the wedding will happen very soon].”

In a show of support for Palaash, his cousin Neeti Tak urged the public to withhold judgment, writing on social media: “Palaash is going through a critical condition today, you all should not judge Palash as wrong without knowing the truth… pray for him.”

The postponement has prompted significant changes in the couple’s social media presence. Following the medical emergencies, Smriti and her bridesmaids removed all wedding-related photos from their accounts, further fueling speculation about the status of their relationship.

Amita Muchhal also noted an interesting detail: Shrinivas Mandhana had been dancing and posting on Instagram just a day before experiencing his health scare, suggesting the sudden nature of the medical emergency that ultimately led to the wedding’s postponement.

While no new date has been officially announced, Amita Muchhal’s comments indicate that both families intend to reschedule the ceremony in the near future once the situation stabilizes and both Palaash and Smriti’s father have fully recovered.

The postponement has attracted substantial media attention, reflecting the couple’s prominent status in Indian sports and entertainment circles.
