Actor Donal Bisht has firmly denied rumors of a romantic relationship with former Bigg Boss 19 contestant Abhishek Bajaj, addressing claims that have circulated widely across entertainment media in recent weeks.
In an Instagram Story posted Tuesday, Bisht expressed frustration over what she called “unnecessary bullsh*t” and warned that she would pursue legal action against those spreading false information about her personal life.
“I was shooting out of town and didn’t have the time to look into this, so now that I’m back I have only one thing to say: stop dragging my name into unnecessary bullsh*t,” Bisht wrote. “If you don’t know the truth, don’t comment or spread fake rumours, because I will not tolerate it. Any false allegations or defamation will face strict legal action.”
The controversy emerged when reports began suggesting Bisht was involved with Bajaj while he was still married to Akanksha Jindal. The allegations gained momentum after Jindal made certain claims about her ex-husband during his participation in the popular reality show Bigg Boss 19.
As unverified posts circulated on social media platforms and gossip sites, speculation about Bisht and Bajaj’s relationship intensified, prompting the actress to break her silence.
In her statement, Bisht expressed disappointment at how her name was being used for others’ benefit. “People just use you, or your name, for their own benefit, and I’m done with it. I’m aware now, and I’m happy that I’m useful!” she wrote with apparent sarcasm.
The actress, known for her roles in television dramas, emphasized her professional dedication and the personal values she upholds. “I have worked hard to build my name through all the work I’ve done over the years,” she stated. “I’m a respectable girl from a good family with solid moral values. I’m here to work, not to be part of anyone’s drama.”
Bisht’s strong response highlights the challenges faced by public figures in the entertainment industry, where personal relationships often become fodder for tabloid speculation and social media gossip. For television personalities in particular, such rumors can impact not only their public image but also professional opportunities.
The Indian television industry, valued at approximately ₹72,000 crore ($9.6 billion) in 2023, remains highly personality-driven, with actors’ personal lives often generating as much interest as their on-screen performances. Reality shows like Bigg Boss, which deliberately blur the lines between contestants’ public and private personas, frequently become launching points for rumors that extend well beyond the show’s conclusion.
Bisht made it clear that her focus remains on her craft and career. “I’m in this industry because of my love for cinema, for creativity, and for the craft God has destined me for—that’s all I know,” she wrote, concluding with, “Please spare me from these fake narratives. Thank you, and see you soon on screen!”
Industry observers note that such public denials have become increasingly necessary for celebrities in the age of social media, where unverified information can spread rapidly and damage reputations. Many actors now employ dedicated social media teams and legal advisors specifically to address false claims before they gain further traction.
As of publication, Abhishek Bajaj has not publicly commented on the controversy or Bisht’s statement.
