Harry Styles has announced an ambitious new global tour featuring residencies across six countries on four continents. The English pop star’s “Together, Together” tour will span 50 dates in total, bringing his music to fans in Europe, the United Kingdom, South America, North America, and Australia.

Styles will launch the tour on May 16 with six consecutive shows in Amsterdam before moving on to a six-night residency in London. The tour then crosses the Atlantic for two performances in São Paulo, Brazil, and two in Mexico City, before settling into an extensive 30-night run at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden.

The tour will conclude in Australia with two shows in Melbourne and two final performances in Sydney in December, capping nearly seven months on the road.

A diverse lineup of supporting acts will join Styles throughout different legs of the tour, including pop icon Shania Twain, Swedish singer Robyn, British R&B artist Jorja Smith, electronic producer Jamie xx, and alternative R&B artist Fousheé, among others.

Fans looking to secure tickets will have multiple opportunities through various pre-sales. General ticket sales begin in phases, starting with São Paulo on Wednesday, followed by Mexico City on January 29. Amsterdam, London, Melbourne, Sydney and many of the New York dates will go on sale January 30. The final batch of New York shows, spanning October 10-31, will become available on February 4.

This isn’t Styles’ first experience with extended venue residencies. During his highly successful “Love on Tour” in 2022, the singer performed 15 consecutive nights at Madison Square Garden, which Ticketmaster described as “the highest-grossing single engagement in the venue’s history.” His return to the same venue for an even longer 30-night stint demonstrates both his popularity and drawing power in the live music industry.

The tour announcement comes just one week after Styles revealed his fourth studio album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,” will be released on March 6. The upcoming album represents Styles’ first full-length project in four years and follows his critically acclaimed 2022 release “Harry’s House,” which earned him the coveted Album of the Year award at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

The album cover features the 31-year-old artist in casual attire – a T-shirt and jeans – standing at night beneath an outdoor disco ball, suggesting a possible fusion of relaxed authenticity and dance-inspired sounds that might characterize the new music.

Styles has continued to build his career since leaving the boy band One Direction, establishing himself as a solo artist with considerable commercial and critical success. His previous tour, “Love on Tour,” was a global phenomenon that ran for nearly two years, grossing over $600 million worldwide according to industry estimates.

Concert residencies have become increasingly popular among major artists in recent years, allowing performers to minimize travel while maximizing ticket sales. Las Vegas has traditionally been the hub for such extended engagements, but Styles’ approach of bringing the residency model to multiple international cities represents an innovative approach to touring that could influence how other global acts structure their live performances.

The extended Madison Square Garden residency, in particular, demonstrates Styles’ exceptional popularity in the American market, where he has established himself as one of music’s most bankable live performers despite his British origins.

Ticket prices and additional tour details are expected to be announced in the coming days as the various on-sale dates approach.

The extended residencies in places like Amsterdam, London, and New York City are an interesting approach. It allows Harry Styles to really immerse himself in those key markets and build momentum. I wonder if that will lead to additional dates being added in those locations.

    • Good point. The residency model could allow for strong ticket sales and fan engagement in those major markets. If demand exceeds the initial dates, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the tour expanded further in those cities.
