A nonpartisan research organization has released a comprehensive briefing document raising significant concerns about Democratic Representative Rashida Tlaib’s alleged connections to organizations and individuals linked to designated foreign terrorist entities.

Mubarak has previously faced scrutiny for associations with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2009 Holy Land Foundation terror-financing trial, and the Alliance for Global Justice (AFGJ), reportedly investigated for connections to PFLP-linked organizations.
The Michigan congresswoman is also alleged to have shared platforms with controversial figures, including Wisam Rafeedie, identified in the briefing as a convicted PFLP operative who has defended the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel as “resistance.”
“Through public endorsement, co-sponsorship, and amplification, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has consistently engaged with a range of organizations known to maintain operational or ideological ties to terrorist networks,” the briefing states. It further claims Tlaib has “disseminated the messaging of these groups” and referenced “their terminology and conceptual frameworks in official congressional communications.”
This is not the first time Tlaib has faced such accusations. The House of Representatives has already censured her twice – first in November 2023 for allegedly promoting false narratives about the October 7 Hamas attacks, and again in September 2025 following her appearance at the “People’s Conference for Palestine,” where speakers reportedly “whitewashed” convicted Hamas financiers.
The document also accuses Tlaib of employing antisemitic language, referencing a 2021 event where she allegedly spoke about “people behind the curtain” profiting from “racism” from “Gaza to Detroit” – phrasing the report characterizes as containing antisemitic tropes.
Beyond issuing warnings, the briefing calls for concrete governmental action, including a formal Congressional inquiry into Tlaib’s conduct, a legal review by the Department of Justice’s National Security Division to determine if she or her associates have violated laws prohibiting material support to foreign terrorist organizations, and a Federal Election Commission forensic audit of her campaign finances.
“Tlaib’s conduct demonstrates how extremist ideologies can infiltrate mainstream democratic institutions,” the report concludes. “If left unchecked, her actions will continue to legitimize hate.”

Tlaib, one of the progressive “Squad” members in Congress, has been a vocal critic of Israeli policies and has consistently advocated for Palestinian rights throughout her tenure in office. Her office was contacted for comment on the allegations contained in the briefing but had not responded at the time of publication.
