American Sovereignty, a conservative nonprofit dedicated to border security and community safety, is set to launch a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign this weekend aimed at bolstering public support for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The campaign features two distinct advertisements that will run nationally, with targeted emphasis on Washington D.C., North Carolina, Michigan, and Georgia. Titled “Patriots” and “Criminals,” the ads seek to humanize ICE agents while highlighting their crucial role in maintaining public safety across American communities.

“We want to remind people that ICE agents are integral parts of their communities—they’re family members and neighbors who put themselves in danger every day to protect our homeland,” said a representative from American Sovereignty.

The “Patriots” advertisement portrays ICE personnel as everyday Americans with deep community ties. “They’re friends and neighbors. Sons, fathers. They’re Little League coaches and veterans. They’re people who love this country,” narrates the ad, accompanied by scenes of community life, including hiking groups, veterans walking together, and children carrying flags.

The advertisement emphasizes that despite the challenges and dangers of their profession, ICE officers remain committed to a singular mission: “to make America a safer place to live.”

In contrast, the “Criminals” ad takes a more direct approach by showcasing the agency’s critical public safety function. It highlights ICE’s role in removing dangerous criminals who entered the country illegally and subsequently committed serious offenses. The ad displays mugshots of apprehended individuals alongside their convictions, which include kidnapping, child pornography, rape, and child molestation.

“Every day, Immigration and Customs Enforcement takes them off our streets—every removal makes us safer and America stronger,” states the advertisement’s narrator, underscoring the agency’s public safety mandate.

This advertising campaign comes at a time when ICE faces increasing scrutiny and opposition. In recent years, the agency has been the target of organized protests and criticism from immigration advocacy groups who question its tactics and role in immigration enforcement. According to law enforcement sources, ICE personnel have reported growing concerns about their ability to perform their duties amid mounting political pressure and public demonstrations.

Border security and immigration enforcement remain divisive political issues in the United States. Recent polls show Americans sharply divided on immigration policies, with approximately half expressing concern about border security while others prioritize humanitarian considerations for migrants.

Immigration enforcement agencies have been subject to policy shifts with changing administrations. Under the Biden administration, ICE has received new operational guidelines that prioritize the removal of individuals who pose national security threats, have committed serious crimes, or recently crossed the border illegally.

The timing of American Sovereignty’s campaign coincides with ongoing national debates about the southern border, which has seen record numbers of migrant encounters over the past several years. According to Department of Homeland Security data, ICE conducted approximately 142,000 removals in fiscal year 2023, including individuals with criminal convictions or pending charges.

Law enforcement experts note that ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) division, which is responsible for apprehending and deporting individuals in violation of immigration laws, operates with approximately 6,000 officers nationwide—a relatively small force given the scope of their responsibilities across a country of over 330 million people.

The advertising campaign represents a significant investment in public messaging during an election year when immigration is expected to be a central campaign issue for candidates across the political spectrum.
