South Korean authorities have launched an investigation into a YouTuber who allegedly fabricated claims about discovering mutilated bodies, officials confirmed Wednesday.

Authorities expect to conclude their investigation within the next two weeks, at which point the case will be referred to prosecutors who will make a final determination regarding formal charges.
