Los Angeles County has launched a formal investigation into potential fraud related to thousands of childhood sexual abuse claims filed under a California law that temporarily expanded the statute of limitations for such cases.
County Counsel Dawyn R. Harrison issued an administrative subpoena to DTLA Law Group on February 25, demanding documents related to the firm’s handling of claims filed against the county under Assembly Bill 218.
