Shapiro claimed that Owens had accused Erika Kirk of being responsible for the death of her husband, Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA who recently passed away unexpectedly at an event in Utah.

Owens took to social media platform X to categorically deny these allegations, calling Shapiro a liar who “made up false claims” about her statements. “He said that I accused Erika Kirk of murdering Charlie Kirk. This quite literally is made up out of thin air,” Owens wrote, adding that she was awaiting Shapiro’s response on her own program.
