YSRCP Refutes Andhra Pradesh Government’s IT Development Claims
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has launched a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, accusing his administration of fabricating achievements in the technology sector. “The IT sector flourished tremendously during Dr. YSR’s tenure and under other administrations, yet Chandrababu Naidu persistently promotes the narrative that he alone developed Hyderabad,” Reddy said. This dispute over Hyderabad’s development remains particularly contentious since the city, once part of united Andhra Pradesh, is now the capital of Telangana following the state’s bifurcation in 2014.
The YSRCP spokesperson was particularly critical of recent announcements regarding data centers in Andhra Pradesh, describing them as unfounded. “The current claims about data center investments follow the same pattern of overpromising and underdelivering that we’ve seen throughout Naidu’s political career,” he said.
According to Reddy, the only period of genuine development in Andhra Pradesh came during the administration of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who served as Chief Minister from 2019 until earlier this year. “It was only during YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s term, following in the footsteps of his father YSR, that Andhra Pradesh witnessed authentic progress across multiple sectors,” Reddy asserted.
