Local radio station 95.9 KISS-FM has announced a significant shakeup to its morning drive program following allegations against one of its hosts. Richard “Otis” Day is no longer with the station amid legal troubles involving temporary restraining orders, according to station management.

The Green Bay-based station confirmed that Eddie will join current hosts Katie Schurk and Nick Vitrano while executives search for a permanent replacement. “We are working hard to find the perfect permanent host to join the crew and will share news with you when available,” the station said in a statement.

Court documents reveal that temporary restraining orders were filed on March 23, 2026, by rival radio personality Natalie Jansen of WIXX against both Day and Emily Chagnon. According to Jansen’s petition, she had never met or spoken with either individual prior to the incidents that prompted legal action.

The case centers around allegations that Chagnon created and operated a fake social media account targeting Jansen. The account, operating under the alias “Sally Gibson,” reportedly ran a page called “TIW’s Day Hollaback XXIW” between mid-2024 and October 2025. This page allegedly shared sensitive personal information about Jansen, including previous addresses and more than 50 photos of her child, alongside numerous defamatory posts.

Jansen noted that one particularly concerning post referenced a photo taken at a work event on September 7, 2025, without her knowledge or consent. The situation caused her to fear for her safety, prompting her to contact law enforcement.

Following a thorough investigation that included obtaining a warrant for Facebook records, authorities traced the account to an IP address registered to Chagnon, who eventually admitted to operating the page. Perhaps more damaging to Day’s position were messages uncovered between Chagnon and Day from his former WIXX Facebook account.

Law enforcement reports indicate that when questioned, Day initially denied knowing Chagnon but later acknowledged having dinner with her and her husband. Sergeant Richard Loppnow stated in his narrative that based on the recovered messages, Day appeared to be “minimizing his role and knowledge of the situation.”

The investigation revealed messages where Day and Chagnon discussed the fake Facebook page and referenced other radio personalities, including Jake Kelly and Tanner Jay. In one particularly incriminating exchange, Day reportedly told Chagnon: “We love what you’re doing. I wish I had a troll page. I thought about making one years ago when Jake and Tanner were on WIXX. I couldn’t stand how they did EXPLICIT, and I wanted to say something.”

When contacted by Action 2 News, Kelly and Jay provided a statement that shed light on past tensions: “Tanner and I haven’t worked with Otis since 2015. Back then, it was clear he didn’t care for us and wasn’t a fan of our show. The way he acted, along with the private trolling we experienced while on the same team, makes hearing about the charges and his involvement unsurprising.”

The Brown County District Attorney’s Office sent Day a warning letter on March 4, 2026, instructing him to cease his conduct toward Jansen or potentially face criminal charges. A temporary restraining order was granted in late March.

Jansen’s attorney from Menn Law released a brief statement: “We are proud to represent Ms. Jansen. We plan to present a very strong case in the courtroom, setting forth what all she has been forced to needlessly endure. However, to be deferential to the pending court proceedings, we have no further comment at this time.”

The situation highlights growing concerns about harassment and privacy violations in the competitive radio industry, where on-air personalities often develop loyal followings and rivalries can sometimes become personal. Social media has added a new dimension to these dynamics, making it easier for individuals to target colleagues anonymously.

Action 2 News has reached out to Jansen, Day, and Day’s attorney for additional comments but has not received responses. WIXX has also been contacted for a statement regarding the situation involving their employee.

Radio rivalries can get pretty intense, but this is a whole new level. Fabricating a fake account to harass a competitor? That’s just wrong on so many levels. Glad to see the legal system stepping in.

This sounds like a classic case of online harassment and defamation. Creating a fake account to attack a rival is a despicable tactic. I hope the courts take this seriously and put a stop to it.

Restraining orders against radio personalities over fake social media accounts? Yikes, this is a crazy story. Wonder what the motivations were behind all of this and if there’s more to the saga than meets the eye.
