Trump Did Not Post Profane Election Reaction on Truth Social in 2025

A viral social media claim suggesting that President Donald Trump posted an expletive-laden message on Truth Social following the November 4, 2025 elections has been debunked as fabricated, according to White House officials.

The alleged post, which circulated widely on Facebook the day after Democrats won key races in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City, showed what appeared to be a screenshot of Trump’s Truth Social account with the message: “I got rid of all the illegal voters out there, and this is how the rest of you treat me? Fine, America. F*** YOU!!!!”

The White House Press Office categorically denied the authenticity of the post in an email statement to fact-checkers at Snopes. A thorough review of Trump’s official Truth Social profile and archives at Trumpstruth.org showed no evidence of such a message being posted around that date.

Digital forensics experts note that the fabricated post contained several authentic elements that made it appear legitimate, including Trump’s correct profile picture, username, and the platform’s distinctive verification emblems—the pink check mark and white plus symbol that appear next to verified accounts on Truth Social. These details suggest the image was created using one of several online tools designed to generate fake social media posts.

The circulation of the fabricated post comes amid a particularly tense political climate following the Democratic Party’s victories in several high-profile races. Democrats secured gubernatorial wins in both Virginia and New Jersey, while also claiming victory in the hotly contested New York City mayoral election.

Trump did address the elections on his Truth Social platform, but with a markedly different tone than the fabricated post suggested. His actual message on November 4 focused on economic issues, stating: “If affordability is you[r] issue, VOTE REPUBLICAN! Energy costs, as and [sic] example, are plummeting – Getting close to 2 Dollar a gallon gasoline. When energy goes down, everything else follows, and it has!!! President DJT”

Content analysts who regularly monitor Trump’s Truth Social activity noted that the inflammatory language attributed to him in the fake post doesn’t align with his typical social media behavior. A search through the archive of his posts revealed that while Trump has been known for controversial statements, he rarely uses explicit profanity in the manner depicted in the fake post. When such language does appear in his feed, it’s typically in reposted content from other users or in transcripts of shared videos.

The incident highlights the ongoing challenge of misinformation in the digital age, particularly involving high-profile political figures. As election cycles progress, fabricated content designed to inflame partisan tensions or misrepresent public figures continues to find audiences across social media platforms.

Facebook, where the false post gained the most traction, has faced persistent criticism for its handling of political misinformation. Despite the platform’s stated policies against false information, digitally altered content can spread rapidly before fact-checking processes identify and flag such material.

Media literacy experts advise social media users to verify political claims through official channels and established news sources before sharing potentially inflammatory content, especially during politically sensitive periods such as elections.
