False Rumor Debunked: Late-Night Hosts’ “Voice of Truth” Show Never Existed

A viral social media claim alleging that six prominent American late-night television hosts secretly launched an independent show called “Voice of Truth” has been thoroughly debunked as false. The rumor, which began circulating in February 2026, claimed the show’s first episode focused on Virginia Giuffre and attracted an extraordinary 1.3 billion views within hours of its release.

The fabricated story spread rapidly across Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter), featuring a collage that combined genuine photos with AI-generated images. The collage included a photo of Jeffrey Epstein with Donald Trump, an image of a young woman purported to be Giuffre, and what appeared to be former “Daily Show” correspondents alongside supposed images of Giuffre in a hospital bed.

A fact-check investigation found no credible news sources reporting on the alleged show. Had such a high-profile collaboration among television personalities actually occurred and drawn over a billion views, it would have received extensive coverage from established news organizations like The Associated Press and Reuters.

Analysis of the viral posts revealed hallmarks of artificially generated misinformation. The collage used in the posts combined three different images, including an AI-modified version of a 2017 Associated Press photograph showing Stephen Colbert hosting a reunion of former “Daily Show” correspondents on CBS’ “The Late Show.” This manipulated image displayed typical characteristics of AI generation, including unnaturally smooth facial features, artificial expressions, and subtle blurring of fine details.

The collage also incorporated a genuine image of Virginia Giuffre from the Lifetime documentary “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein: Virginia Giuffre Tells Her Story,” and a cropped version of a 2024 photograph showing Representative Jared Moskowitz displaying a printed image of Epstein and Trump during a House Oversight Committee hearing.

Many posts spreading the rumor included links in their comment sections directing users to advertisement-laden blog articles. These articles employed anti-crawling techniques, such as substituting Latin letters with similar-looking Cyrillic characters, and relied on emotionally charged language without providing verifiable details or sources.

The text exhibited clear signs of being AI-generated, using vague attributions like “industry insiders” and “political figures” while making extraordinary claims without evidence. The writing style resembled what experts call “glurge” — fabricated, sentimental stories designed to appear uplifting or shocking.

This type of misinformation follows a pattern that fact-checkers have previously identified. In September 2025, a similar false story claiming that Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and Simon Cowell had teamed up to launch a “Truth News” channel was debunked.

Virginia Giuffre, who was featured prominently in the false story, is known for her allegations against Prince Andrew, Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell, claiming they sexually abused her when she was a teenager. Her actual story has been documented in legitimate news reports and documentaries.

The creators of such content appear to be exploiting social media users’ willingness to believe and share sensational stories, potentially profiting from advertising revenue generated when users click through to external websites. When contacted about the false claims, the originators of the rumor did not respond to requests for comment regarding why they published the fabricated story without disclaimers noting its inauthenticity.
