Israeli Officials Firmly Deny Epstein-Mossad Connection Amid Document Release

Israeli government leaders have forcefully rejected claims that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein worked for the country’s intelligence service, as speculation continues following the Department of Justice’s release of millions of pages of documents related to the disgraced financier.

The denials from Israel’s highest offices came amid renewed public scrutiny of Epstein’s connections to former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, with current Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu taking to social media platform X to dismiss the allegations outright.

“Jeffrey Epstein’s unusual close relationship with Ehud Barak doesn’t suggest Epstein worked for Israel. It proves the opposite,” Netanyahu wrote, adding that Barak “has for years obsessively attempted to undermine Israeli democracy by working with the anti-Zionist radical left in failed attempts to overthrow the elected Israeli government.”

The statements follow the DOJ’s January 30 release of what’s considered the final batch of Epstein-related documents, totaling over three million pages that revealed names of numerous prominent individuals connected to the late financier.

Naftali Bennett, who served as Israel’s prime minister from 2021 to 2022, offered one of the most definitive rejections of the conspiracy theory. “As a former Israeli Prime Minister, with the Mossad having reported directly to me, I say to you with 100% certainty: The accusation that Jeffrey Epstein somehow worked for Israel or the Mossad ran a blackmail ring is categorically and totally false,” Bennett stated on X.

Perhaps most significantly, former Mossad director Yossi Cohen directly addressed the allegations, stating that Epstein had “absolutely nothing” to do with Israel’s intelligence agency — “not an agent, not an operative, nothing.” Intelligence experts noted to Fox News that the claims are inconsistent with how Mossad actually operates.

The latest document release has renewed attention on Barak’s relationship with Epstein. Barak, who served as Israel’s prime minister from 1999 to 2001, has acknowledged meeting Epstein on multiple occasions but maintains he never observed inappropriate behavior.

“At times during my occasional visits to the United States, I was sometimes a participant in a breakfast or lunch or dinner at his New York townhouse, together with respected American public figures,” Barak stated. “At no point in my dealings with him did I ever witness any improper behavior, and I certainly never participated in anything like that.”

Documents indicate that Barak and his then-wife, Nava Barak, stayed at Epstein’s New York residence during U.S. trips. The records also reveal financial connections and show that Epstein facilitated introductions between Barak and high-profile business leaders.

Barak’s office told Fox News that the former prime minister has “repeatedly expressed regret” for meeting Epstein and emphasized that no credible allegations exist suggesting Barak engaged in illegal or inappropriate conduct.

The Epstein saga continues to generate international interest years after his 2019 death in a Manhattan jail cell while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. The case has highlighted his extensive network of connections with political figures, business leaders, and celebrities worldwide.

The DOJ’s massive document release represents one of the most comprehensive public disclosures in the case, following significant pressure from lawmakers and transparency advocates to unseal records related to Epstein’s activities and associates.

Despite the categorical denials from Israeli officials, speculation about Epstein’s intelligence connections has persisted in various media and online discussions, fueled by his mysterious wealth accumulation and relationships with powerful figures across multiple countries.

The Epstein case continues to draw attention not only for its lurid details but also because it raises broader questions about how wealth and power can insulate individuals from accountability and enable exploitation.
