The emotional clip shows what appears to be a court proceeding where a judge dismisses charges against a veteran identified as “Corporal Davis” while ordering immediate housing assistance.
“A retired soldier became homeless and was arrested for sleeping in a park. He was awarded the Silver Star medal for rescuing four people from a burning vehicle in Syria. The judge said, ‘This court dismisses all charges. You are ordered to receive housing assistance immediately,'” read the caption accompanying the video.
In the clip, a voiceover purporting to be a judge states: “He pulled four men from a burning humvee in Syria, but the judge’s verdict made him cry. Corporal Davis who pulled four men from a burning humvee in Syria and were awarded the Silver Star. You came home to no support for criminal trespassing while sleeping in a public park.
