Authorities in Malacañang are actively investigating what they describe as an orchestrated campaign of false information regarding President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s health status, according to a statement released Tuesday by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
The PCO reported detecting “a sudden and coordinated surge in disinformation” across various social media platforms claiming the President is suffering from serious health problems. Officials characterized these reports as “malicious” and completely unfounded.
“These deliberate attempts to spread false information about the President’s wellbeing are being thoroughly traced and investigated,” said PCO Secretary Cheloy Garafil in the statement.
