Philippine Government Combats “Coordinated” Health Misinformation Campaign Against President Marcos
The Philippine government has launched a strong offensive against what officials describe as a “coordinated” disinformation campaign falsely claiming President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is suffering from stage four colon cancer or is in a coma. He emphasized that he has returned to his normal routine for the past two to three months following his diverticulitis episode. “I’m doing my usual (activities), watching my health, making sure that I’m always ready to do the work,” Marcos stated.

NBI spokesman and lawyer Palmer Mallari suggested in a television interview on Thursday that the spread of false information regarding the President’s health could indeed be part of a coordinated destabilization plot against the administration.
