The Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan issued a comprehensive statement addressing what it described as “completely unfounded and untrue information” circulating across social media platforms in recent days regarding alleged missile activities.

“Against the backdrop of existing tensions in the region, the dissemination of unverified and inaccurate information on social networks serves to create false perceptions in public opinion and carries the nature of deliberate disinformation. We strongly condemn such attempts,” the agency declared.

The Azerbaijani authority suggested that these claims either stem from provocative intentions or result from irresponsible reporting practices. Officials emphasized that modern monitoring technology makes it relatively simple to verify the origin of any missile launches or aerial movements in the region.

“Given modern technological capabilities, it is not difficult to determine the direction from which missiles or other aerial vehicles are launched,” the statement noted, highlighting that Gulf nations possess advanced radar and monitoring systems capable of accurately tracking airborne objects and their trajectories.
